Front-End Developer / WordPress

We are looking for a part-time, front-end developer to assist our team in building client websites and manage our portfolio of websites. This position can quickly grow into a full-time position We work with a variety of clients ranging from international brands to mid-size businesses. We’re also working on some internal web applications which could be added to your responsibilities in time. Typical work will includes building responsive custom WordPress themes. You must have the ability to work within JavaScript libraries and program from scratch in JavaScript.

Skills Should Include:

• A solid understanding of WordPress theme development including the use of child themes and frameworks.
• General knowledge of basic WordPress security and maintenance.
• Strong front-end skills and proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and PHP.
• Experience building responsive websites.
• Experience using CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap, LESS, SASS or Foundation and JavaScript manager Grunt.
• Familiarity with Git and local development tools.

Optional Skills:

• Familiarity with Shopify
• Familiarity with WooCommerce and associated extensions
