We are currently seeking Web Application Developer to join our Marketing and Communications team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and support of UI Health Care's Web-based communication efforts, provide support for the major consumer facing web properties of UI Health Care, mainly uihc.org and uichildrens.org and build new features and fix bugs on these Drupal 7 websites.

Primary responsibilities

• Provide support for websites running on Drupal 7. This includes site building, theming, and development of custom modules.
• Design and code landing pages for various marketing campaigns.
• Provide support for websites running on WordPress
• Provide support for C# .NET applications.
• Work with colleagues in marketing to develop sites that highlight a particular clinic, service line, or service.
• Meet with non-technical peers and gather requirements for web projects.
• Design, develop, and maintain Web-based applications and pages for University of Iowa Health Care and its associated units. This may entail creating graphics, revising or adapting content, ensuring navigational and informational integrity, writing customized Web applications (both server- and client-side,) interacting with SQL data sources, and attending to accessibility guidelines.
• Write and modify code that facilitates database-to-Web interaction
• Facilitate publication of (and access to) video and multimedia.
• Work closely with constituents in concept and project development.
• Apply search engine optimization methods and maximize visibility in an effort to drive target audiences to Web sites.
• Research and develop new media strategies for user experiences, interactive communications, and digital content.
• Follow Web-based trends, applications, and technologies to allow University of Iowa Health Care to be a leader in technology integration.
• Develop and integrate new functionality in n-tiered systems.
• Document applications, systems, and procedures.
• Work with colleagues in marketing to develop sites that highlight a particular clinic, service line, or service.
• Review, edit, and update online communication projects to support UI Health Care’s goals. Develop custom web-based applications to assist constituents in the function of their duties.
