Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong back-end WordPress development background, experience creating custom plug-ins and responsive themes from scratch
  • Working knowledge of WordPress topics and tools: Internationalization, plug-in development, creating custom taxonomies, caching, admin UI customization, WP CLI, PHPUnit, WordPress Unit Tests
  • Expert knowledge of web development languages including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and MySQL
  • Working knowledge of development tools including Git, Vagrant, shell scripts, Linux
  • Experience building features with content managers and dashboard integration in mind
  • Creation of clean, logical, well-documented and re-usable code
  • Experience with WordPress Multisite Network
  • Knowledge of Timber & Twig templating language
  • Experience working with APIs and development of APIs
  • Action oriented and practical problem solver
  • Willingness to experiment with a creative approach to technology
  • Experience building sites that meet web accessibility standards
  • Are obsessive about page speed, the boss is
  • Experience with WordPress Security and maintaining it
  • Ability to work in a team environment

Required Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years related experience in WordPress Development
