Project:

We’re looking for a remote skilled freelance WordPress developer with LMS knowledge and preferably LearnDash experience. We are currently building out a teaching website for educators and students, and need a developer who can carry through and develop a custom faculty to student application, which includes groups and a faculty/student dashboard. This role will implement the development for modules needed inside the already remaining website configuration. A detailed example of such interaction is mentioned below in more detail.

This is a remote role based on this particular freelance project. You will interact with both the project liaison and the client. You should know WordPress inside and out.

Responsibilities & requirements:

– Develop custom solutions for WordPress and LearnDash
– Develop custom plugins and scripts for a LMS environment
– Integrate scripts to work in harmony with Gravity Forms and Restrict Content Pro
– Develop for responsive designs
– Create source data or API’s needed for analytical tags
– Develop or find existing plugins that will solve issues in our product
– Produce high-quality work with strong attention to detail
– Work under specified deadlines via stages
– Advise best approaches for LMS development
– 5+ years experience working with WordPress sites on a regular basis
– A positive and upbeat approach with attention to detail
– Ability to listen to user feedback and directive input

Required skills:

– Strong knowledge in LMS educational platforms
– Strong knowledge of the WordPress platform
– Strong expertise with PHP, MySQL, AJAX, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3
– Expertise in WordPress Custom Theme and Plugin Development
– Expertise in WordPress Plugin integration
– Expertise in developing a drag and drop interface for users
– Preferred knowledge in LearnDash
– Ability to create and develop custom plugins from scratch
– Ability to create and develop API’s from scratch
– Expertise in database security, best practices and general web security
– Understand how to make WordPress manageable from admin panel for client
– Understands WordPress core and knows how to perform database and code optimization
– Proficiency in JSON if applicable
– A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues

Faculty/Student integration…

  • Membership platform is based on departmental memberships that may have anywhere from 3 to 30 separate faculty. Each faculty in a departmental membership needs the autonomy to easily create separate student groups that they can assign content of the case study topics and other resources inside the membership to a specific group or individual students
  • Students need to easily onboard and create their own username and password once invited by faculty
  • Once a case study quiz or other resource is submitted to a student the ability to easily submit the completed case study/quiz or paperwork directly to the faculty of record to review all questions/some questions will be ESSAY format that will require faculty to review and grade
  • Ability for both students and faculty to access case study quiz performance and analytics
