We have a working WordPress website, and use a custom built plugin to manage our business. This plugin has been developed over the course of 5 years, so it needs some updates, bug fixes, performance improvements, and design changes.
The initial task is to refactor a bunch of the code into an MVC style and write unit tests to make sure it does what we think it should.
After that we’ll tackle performance improvements, UX redesign, and a port to mobile.
I’m a software developer myself, so I would prefer to work with someone who’s “been there and done that.”
- Written plugins before
- Experience with continuous integration and automated deployment pipelines
- Unit Testing
- Experience with services like mailgun, aws, etc.
- Experience with full stack (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript)
- Remote work experience
